Recently, the Office of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation announced the list of sponsors for the 2021 China National Postdoctoral Program For Innovative Talents. Lin Xingtao (supervisor: Academician Chen Xiangsheng) from the Postdoctoral Scientific Research Station of Civil Engineering, the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering, and the Underground Polis Academy of Shenzhen University was selected.

The China National Postdoctoral Program For Innovative Talents is an important measure for our country to train high-level innovative young talents. The purpose is to accelerate the training of a group of outstanding young science and technology innovative talents who have entered the forefront of science and technology in the world. Combining with key scientific research bases such as the national laboratory, it aims at major national strategies, strategic high-tech and frontier fields of basic science, and organizes peer review by experts to select 400 outstanding or newly graduated Ph.Ds nationwide to engage in post-doctoral research. In response to key scientific issues in the development of urban underground space, Dr. Lin Xingtao carried out research on the disaster mechanism of soil-structure coupling induced by deep shield tunneling. After the defense, he was successfully selected for the 2021 China National Postdoctoral Program For Innovative Talents.

The selection of Dr. Lin Xingtao is the first time that a researcher of our college has been selected for the China National Postdoctoral Program For Innovative Talents. This is not only a recognition of the scientific research capabilities of the selected candidates, but also a full affirmation of our college postdoctoral work and the work of cultivating high-level innovative young top-notch talents.
